Not gonna let Ike do to me what he did to Tina! Actually, I've been out of that area for 3 weeks visiting another hospital. I think I'm gonna have to trek back this weekend to survey the damage though.

Thanks for the heads up. I read the entire thread and you are correct the points made are not very clear or grounded. I put my two cents in as well.

A funny little thing called sweat....and bottled water. I was actually in an exam for 4.5 hours in that heat. We had to keep taking breaks. How was your day?

I'm doing well. Cooling off after an afternoon of no air conditioning. Can you imagine the horror?

    USAF,
I would forget the Murphys and use the BLO and a copper scrubby very sparingly. The BLO will float the crud and then you can wipe it off with a towel. You'd be surprised how good a cleaner the BLO is. If your stock is really crudded up a heat lamp will draw the oil as will a good ole sunny day! I just don't like using water based cleaners on old stocks as they can cause cracking or worse...

In 1993, I moved from the medium sized city of Chillicothe, Ohio, to Porter Hollow Road, a small one lane road outside of Frankfort, Ohio (pop 2,000) surrounded on both sides by big hills, trees and meadows. I didn't have the greatest childhood, we moved out there after my mother married for the third time, I had been abused (not by my mother, and I haven't ever told anyone about it) at least three times, and I had never really spent much time in the country. I was used to being in a school of over...

On December 7th, 1941, my great-grandfather, Charles Thomas Sewards was an elevator operator in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. He had moved there from Ohio in late August looking for work. He had maintained that job for nearly four months when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and the Phillipine Islands.

On December 10th, he was drafted and reported to basic training during which time he merited "Expert" on the M1 Garand and "Sharpshooter"...

You ever just read something on here and it catches you on a bad day, at the wrong moment and it makes you just want to scream?

Say someone who time and time again posts something or several things that at first you thought, "they can't be serious" but then the more you read you realized that they absolutly WERE serious, and it kinds of gets on your nerves? Then the more you think about it the more mad you get, so you decide to actually USE your ignore button. The worst part...

I just saw this on the Air Force Times website:
Medic in famous photo dies after PTSD struggle - Air Force News, news from Iraq - Air Force Times

It reminds me of so many stories of men and women who did what was asked of them and so much more, and couldn't bear the transistion to a world without war. Brings memories and thoughts of Flags of Our Fathers and Born on the Fourth of July.

My heart and thoughts are with his family and friends.

I am not...

I just got this from the First Sgt:

A PIN DROP

When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was
asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an
example of empire building' by George Bush.

He answered by saying, 'Over the years, the United States has
sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for
freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have...
