| Runnin' With The Big Dogs ![]() | John F. Kennedy's PT 109 Boat Being Shipped (1942 Photo's) Here are very rare photos of President JFK's newly manufactured PT-109, loaded aboard a transport ship ready for shipment to the South Pacific in 1942. As we all know, this PT Boat was later assigned to LT (jg) John F. Kennedy. PT-109 was later rammed, while on patrol with JFK and his crew aboard, cut-in-half by a Japanese destroyer and sunk. | Jack was the only 'good' Kennedy. Even with his weakness for the floozies, he was ten times the man of his youngest brother, Teddy the Officeboy. Some think he committed an error in letting his boat get rammed - but in the 'fog of war', who can say? He was on the sharp end, and having a ball on those Mosquito Boats!

| Great pics indeed. I always did love those PT boats. Obviously and for obvious reasons the 109 was the most famous of them all. But, they all had a purpose and they all served that purpose well.
