Still, they're 10 bucks cheaper at J&G Sales.

Why does Classic charge more for a Tula, and JG asks you to specify Tula or Izzy? Is there something better about a Tula? I have been thinking about buying another hexy, octi, irregular.

From what I've read on 7.62x54r.net, some people believe Tula had better machining processes and better quality in the final product. There doesn't seem to be any evidence to support that conclusion, but people don't always form opinions rationally.

It's nice that they give you a choice, though.

the Tula production numbers were lower, so they're more collectible. but the difference is not that significant. on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the rarest, an izzy hex is a 2 and a tula hex is a 3. a round izzy is a 1 and a tula izzy is a 2.

Well, that an there were way more Izzy's made, making Tula's a bit rarer.
