| Senior Member | Loose play in the trigger Hey I fixed that loose play in the trigger of my M91. I took a large rubber band about 3/4" wide and cut it about 1/4 inch wide by about 1/2inch long folded it in half. Pull the trigger until the rubber band can be inserted between the trigger and bolt catch while folded in half (use a shim or a flat blade to wedge it in). Should take most of the play out. I do not know how this will react under the normal heat from firing.

| Senior Member | when you cock the bolt the trigger is loose (can be jiggled back and forth) I wedged some rubber in there to cushion it. I just assumed all nagants had this in them.

| Senior Member | Most Mosin's have the trigger play. If you do a trigger job on them it will get worse. What I did was when I did the trigger job, I cut a coil spring to fit, and at about 6 ounces it works fine. I doubt the heat of firing will do much to the rubber band, but it won't last long due to the oil.
