Thumbs up Woohoo! The M-39 is fixed

Finally got to shoot my M-39 again for the first time in about 6 months after finally getting the feeding problem straightened out. The trigger pull is too light(my fault), but it shoots great. I only shot 20 rds and kept knocking the 1" stick-on bullseyes off of my plywood target stand (6 hits out of 20 rds), I got tired of walking down there to re-stick 'em and set up my stand which kept blowing over,so I gave up and came home. It looks like I'm going to be forced to scope this gun if I really want to realize it's accuracy potential as I can just barely see those flourescent yellow pasters @ 25 yds using iron sights but man, it's still a great gun.

Get the BIG Shoot-N-See targets at Wally Mart - they're about 7 or 8 inches diameter, and easier to see at 100 yards.
Those gallon milk jugs filled with water are great targets too.
BANG! . . . Bawhoosh! Excellent . . .

I hear ya Big Dog, I've got some 6 inchers that I use when shooting at 100 but decided to use the 1" spots since I was only shooting @ 25 due to the wind blowing like crazy. Even at 25, looking thru the sights made'em look kinda like one of those see through yellow bug smears on a windshield-only blurrier . I was still impressed with the old girl although I may have to replace the sear to get the trigger pull up to where it's more "predictable"- right now it's sort of a no-stage rather than a two stage.

I just had the opportunity to shoot mine this past weekend for only the 2nd time, the last time had rushed to make the range and then my firing pin was not at the right protrusion. None of that this time and she shot great, I was very impressed by the tight grouping in the bad guy target I was shooting at.

I can remember when I could see 1" spot targets at 25 yards.

Believe it or not, even at 25 yards they are a blur now.

That's one reason why, when I shoot open sights, I don't shoot anything over 75 yards. Of course, if push came to shove I'd still shoot further...center of mass....and pray, a lot.......LOL.
