Boom, Boomski Range Report

Gorgeous day today Comrades. Grabbed a couple of my Russkies and headed to the range for an hour or so. Shot my M1938 and my 1933 91/30. Shot 100m using Chinese light ball and some Hungarian yellow tips. The rifles just glowed in the sun.
I went over to the 300m and nailed the gong 5 times with the rifle. Only hit it twice with the carbine, Sun was in my eyes so I gave it up. Ah, but it was nice while it lasted.

M44 .444 Marlin day

Haven't fired the M44 lately, so I took it along with my (new to me) Marlin .444ss and a couple of reloads to try out.

The little Russian seemed to like the Hungarian yellow tip over the Chinese LB. The day was overcast and rainy, so the flame thrower aspect drew a couple of spectators my way. This skinny little 12 year old thought it was pretty decent, the way it lit up. His dad said it was okay to let him fire it, so I let him fire off five rounds.

When he got up to leave I had him fire off a couple rounds of the .444 Marlin too. He was on the paper every time. He asked why I had him fire off so many rounds, I told him I didn't want him to forget the experience. He was grinning from ear to ear.
