No, they are not separable.
The center tube of the scope is machined from the same hunk of metal as the mount itself.

Even if you cut and file you may not find rings to fit around tube.

luck

Yup, thats pretty much what you would have to do, alot of work perhaps.
Before you try doing something like that you may want to measure the diameter of the area you plan on mounting the rings at on the scope.
It could be a diameter that there are no size of rings to fit.

Ya might be able to make it work...
I just put the calipers on our POSP 4x that's on an AK-47.
The rear tube measures exactly 30mm
Front tube, however, is a bit larger at 32mm...

Obviously a 30mm ring would work on the rear tube, the front is going to be an issue. I've never seen anything other than 1" and 30mm rings.

You could lap 1mm all the way around the inside of a 30mm ring to open it up to 32mm, but that would be one hell of a project to do with precision.

You would also need a long rail- your ring spacing would need to be around 5" to clear the side "mount" area on the scope.

i'm with moose. i think it's a horrible idea. why not just sell the posp and use something else? you can get an easy $100 for the weakest posp.
