I agree! thats why I put one on my factory stock. my Boyds' stock LOP is perfect without it.

if you need a recoil pad on a Mosin for the recoil, you need one of those other pads when its that time of the month, don't ya? ::

Yeah, or you're old like me, and your shoulder is in pain for some reason most of the time. I have two Limbsaver slip-ons, that I move from one rifle to another. Wally World sells them for $20 in Winchester packages. They even have Limbsaver cast into them. The small one fits my Russian Mosins, and the medium size fits my Finn and my Mausers.

Can even use a speed loader on a Nagant pistol.

That reminds me, I need to get some ammo for my Nagant. So it can talk and reminisce with it's Mosin brethren.

I love those Polish stripper clips. Those are IMOA the smoothest ones around. The ammo isn't the best though. **** lacquer.

The best stripper clips for my Mosin Nagants are a couple of blued Bulgarian ones I picked up at a gun show.

I got a set of 5 stripper clips on Amazon for 5 bucks, they were pretty good but seem to hold onto the rounds pretty hard. It could just be my technique, I need to get some more practice in.
Yah I got this same set. They do work, but require a bit of 'oomph' to get it to load in the gun. I've found that lifting up on the top bullet's nose and using that as leverage to push down on the other bullets, while simultaneously pushing down on the cartridge of the top bullet with the thumb, helps out a lot and they 'clack clack clack' in there pretty well.

Would love to get my hands on some decently priced surplus ones though. Those probably work even better.
