the right tools for the job

since i was unable to find a uk 59 barrel i decided im going to buy another mosin ( only $100.00 why not!) and get a boyds stock and my problem is getting the barrel cut and crowned. I cant find anyone in my town to do it so i figured I would do it but i cant figure out what crowning tool to use, since i want an 11 degree crown i know midway sells them ( i think ). ive watched a good number of youtube videos to but anyone can make a video. would really appericate you fellas input.

I used the PTG 11-degree cutting tool from Midway to do this one after cutting the barrel to 22". Easy job, self-explanatory...

Yes. The .003 difference was not enough to cause any perceptible looseness of the pilot.

Be sure to use plenty of cutting oil, and stuff a patch in the bore to keep the cuttings out.

.003 inch is probably not going to make any difference but you can also use a pilot for a British 303 as its .311 diameter, same as a Mosin Nagant round.
