These were built from parts for export not as fighting arms as the eariler ones were. I see no reason why they wouldnt be in top notch shape. As far as accuracy thats one of the big things that M39s are known for so I wouldnt be too worried.

These 1960's and 1970's rifles were not originally made for export, they were made because Finland could not arm their soldiers as quick as they would of liked. So they had a bunch of Mosin parts laying around and all the tooling to make them so they made em in case of emergency issue. In fact they still use Mosin Nagant actions in some snipers rifles.

These are very well made rifles, just like their 1940's counterparts. These are quite collectable and are probably gonna be among the first to really jump in value.

She's a bit too expensive for my tastes.

The late model M39s are great shooters. I would recommend you slug the barrel....they tend to be somewhat tighter than the original Russian Mosins. As you are most likely aware, if you remove the stock and look under the rear tang you will find the original date of manufacture of the receiver by the Russians.

I have a 67 and 68 and both are awesome shooters. Just as accurate as any of my other m39's. I also agree that Pat Burns prices are getting pretty high.

I picked up a 68' with the hang tag last weekend thats easily 99% from a seller on armslist. It wasn't cheap by any means at $400 but I didn't have to pay shipping or transfer either. I'll be posting pics as soon as I get the other two Mosin's I want in the photo shoot ready.

I read somewhere that M39's have a bore closer to Russian spec @ .310 to take advantage of captured Russian ammo. I haven't slugged mine yet so I can't confirm.
