Cool, not a bad price.
I wonder how good the bores and lanes are in the Remingtons?

Yep, I actually saw one of these in person at a show in Mesqiute a few weeks ago-thought I was gonna hurl Just gives me another reason to despise ATI products. I'm starting to think that the ATI engineers are eating the wrong kind of mushrooms on their pizza!

Angry

Yep, early on I got one of those 'no gunsmithing' scope mounts for the Mauser from them. What they don't tell you is you have to cut four fugly slots in the stock to mount the danged thing! And the clamps still move under recoil, altering the POA and chewing up the wood. A very bad waste of $65 and a good Mauser stock . . .

Engineers they ain't!

I feel your pain BD! When I got my VZ-24, I called our local gunsmith (who does excellent work !) for advice on a "no-gunsmith" mount like the one you got. He told me that he just worked on a Turk that had that mount installed by the owner and he ended up having to install screws through the mounting claws into the receiver to stop it from sliding.

I saw the add as well and I am planning a visit to Coles in April to see what they have for gunsmith specials - I want to buy a bunch of receivers with bolts to convert to some different caliber projects Morgan and I came up with.
