| Lots of mosin's on the range today There were quite a few of them on the range. It was nice talking with guys about there different set-ups. Mine didn't do too bad, but it spit powder at me like 2 times, what's with that? |

| I know the feeling well. My last range visit, we had four M44 carbines and two M91/30 riflres, among other milsurps! As far as the spitting, if it came from the chamber, you need to get a good 'smith to look at it and check it for headspace and other problems. It may have been dirt or sand kicked up by the muzzle blast. Were you shooting off a bench, standing or prone?

| I got an m44 not long ago it shoots nice im surprised i only paid 126 bucks and ya today there was about 5 otheres fireing them besides me. i know the market is flooded with them but i think there worth more then what there going for atm a nicew gun to shoot and it hits its target as well |

| "Spitting" could be pierced primers -- this happend to me with an M96 Swede mauser when using PMC ammo -- it pierced 5 round out of 40 |

| Could also be cleaning fluids. I usually spray the trigger area and magazine down with some bore cleaner then wipe it dry - but you can't always get it all out. Never go shooting with a white shirt! |
