bull barrel for mosn?

I recently got a m44 thats stock is busted all to peaces and the bore is bad along with the fact that some one did a bad job on putting a scope on it. I was wondering if any one knew where i might find a heavy bull barrel for this rifle. I have seen picture of mosin with this done and think it would be a interesting project to build a true mosin sniper/target rifle.

From the bull barrels that I've seen on mosins, they were all custom jobs. I think you'd have to search for custom barrel manufacturers. Unfortunately, I haven't looked into it myself, so maybe someone here has some directions for you to go....

Sounds kind of expensive to me. What kind of caliber would you be looking for?

I would say get another 91/30 and sell that one for parts. Or keep it for parts.

You'd probably have to buy a barrel blank and have it chambered and threaded to fit your M\N. Numrichs sometimes has blanks for pretty reasonable rates but just about all of the barrel makers sell them.

Rebarreling a Mosin would probably only be practical if you're doing a cartridge conversion that warranted the Mosin's design.
