It could penetrate the front of the tube but when it hits the back side, the bullet reflects twice and is headed straight back at the same angle it was shot. We both survived.

It was one of those evenings that the Mosin would have been way safer.

We still have my 1987 13" color TV. It is quite a trick to get it connected to some of the DVD and even vcr stuff.
was'nt the .223 designed to bounce off stuff?
not sure how much reflecting a bullet can do? mabey back to a time befor he had a primer?

No, I just think that they are making TV's tougher these days, guys.

Contrary to popular belief, the picture tube did not explode upon bullet impact. The inside of the TV was for the most part granulated, but except for entrance holes the size of the bullet, looked pretty normal. Only when you shook it, boy did it rattle. After several minutes, it did do some smoking. A brief blast with a garden hose solved that problem.

Today while driving into town, I noted a TV set sitting next to the curb with the rest of the trash. I said, "Look, honey, a target!" I won't say what ouch said. I'd get banned. He did ask me on the way home though if I'd like to 'Glock' it? I graciously declined. Didn't think the neighbors would appreciate the mess.

Why not, billy? I don't feel the lady owes anyone any reasons or explanations; she did it because she wanted to.

Are you going to tell me you have a good, sane reason for everything you've ever done with a weapon? Aside from "just to see if it could be done," or, "because I felt like it," of course..

Redhed...

Enemy At The Gates is the ultimate Mosin movie and shows the paticipation of women in the sniper corps as well.

Enjoy.
