trigger pull

my m/n m44 has an extreemly long trigger pull, is this normal in m/n and is there anything i can do about it? if not then i will just have to learn to live with it.

It is pretty much normal for a M/N....A good , Qualified Gunsmith can make it better, but for safety Sake, It is not something an Inexperienced person would want to attempt...

Mooseman is right on a usual! .22 Guy is dead on as well. I have heard nothing but great thing about the HC trigger. I plan to put one on my M38 rebuild!

Yes

It is normal. Many of these rifle designs were deliberately built that way as millions of army
draftees had never fired a weapon. It was a matter of keeping their eyes on the sights
and the target while awaiting the firing of the
cartridge.
