Santa's List

If Santa can bring you anything for your Mosin, what would it be? One item only!

A new barrel would make my M44 a tack driver. If I couldn't get that, an upgrade to a sniper model would make me a happy camper.

Okay... so a guy can dream, right?

I know I'm pretty much stuck with NC Star's 2-7x32 scopes. The illuminated and non:
Guns For Sale: ShootersXchange.com - Mosin-Nagant Other - 2~7x32 Illuminated Reticle Ext
Guns For Sale: ShootersXchange.com - Mosin-Nagant Other - 2~7x32 Extended Eye Relief Sco

I still would like one that got to at least 10x for the longer shots that I know the Mosin can make.

Please, Santa...couldn't we make it one item per Mosin?

I'm missing various cleaning rods and slings; I always seem to buy another gun instead of dressing the ones I have.

But if he's holding us to one item, I vote for a scout scope setup on my 91/59.

I'd like to have the original stamp dies that they used to put the markings on the first guns with, Those would be one heck of a collectors item!

How about 2 Swiss bayonets. 1/4" thick stainless Steel about 12" long. A Wegner and I a Vitoria Schwyz.
Neither matches my 1899 Swiss 308 conversion but they will stick that Mexican, Santa [Anna].
Long live Texas.

Santa, I'd like enough crates of ammo to fit the bed of my long bed truck to the brim. I don't care if it's brass or steel or high quality or plain old surplus.

Dear Santa,
I have been a pretty good boy this year, well, most of the time. I would love to find 1,000 rounds of Lapua brass for my M91/30 under the tree on christmas morning. (Norma will do if the Lapua is out of stock.)

How about another Mosin, Santa? I've been a good boy. Could you bring one, a 38, or 59 or even the original long gun with a sniper scope on it. They are dead accurate with iron sights, but it's funny...I remember when I qualified with the M14 in 1968, I was reaching out and touching targets at 400 yds with iron sights. Now I'm not sure I can see that far. Merry Christmas!!

Santa, I know you are busy old man, but could you send me all the stripped receivers you run into on your travels? I've been pretty darn good, even clean my guns on a fanatical basis! Although I've killed many a caribou to make meat, tell Rudolph, and Donner, and Bummer and Cadillac, there will be a "cease fire" in place just for them! And besides, I got 4lbs of moose jerky, and a 1/5 of Chivas sittin right next to the..... ok, 2lbs and a half pint! Hurry!!!!
