Cleaning?

I've been looking into getting an m44, and one thing I noticed when researching is that the ammo is corrosive. What kind of cleaning will I need to do to keep the gun in good condition if I get it?

These are a few ways I clean my guns.

Wrap a chamber brush with a section of paper towel or cloth and wrap it around the brush and insert it into the chamber and rotate it about 10-20 times and it's usually spotless (this is after I have used the brush without the towel).

The same goes for the barrel. Mine shines like new. Even the corners of the riflings are shiney.

Always use a bore mop after using a brush.

Some gun oils are made to lubricate, others are to clean. Get a cleaner and a lubricant. Like CLP and Lucas.

The other way of getting an extremely clean barrel is slugging it with a wad of paper towel and various sizes of wooden dowls 1/4 thick and a rubber mallet. Get it nice and tight. I send about 3 through it and that usually pics up everything.
