Yes that would be me. but its not the money thats the issue. It's her fear that the ATF will rummge through her panty drawer. Which I have assured her many times over.... this .... will... not... happen. Someday I will get that C&R license.... someday.

So just $10 a year and that saves you some of the cost. And what about the 10 day waiting period and $25 DROS fee out here in PRK?

So I'm figuring if I got this and snagged another M44 to keep stock, that I could get it for less than the $89, and not have to pay the other fees? But then there's shipping to factor in...

Thanks for the info on this.

M44's are going for $59, unless you're talking laminated, which would be $20 or so more. Shipping from a location close to you (you're in J and G area in Pheonix) will be around $15, and around $3-4 for each additional rifle.

Oh, and since it's interstate, there's no tax..

Geez, so let's see, I could have saved $30 on the price, plus about $7 on the tax, plus the $25 DROS fee? And have it delivered? I'll have to look into this. I didn't realize that I wouldn't have to pay the $25 each time. So $74 delivered instead of the 89+7+25 that I paid, or close to fifty bucks.

Live and learn. I see there's a wait, which makes sense in dealing with the FedGov, but if I get even just one more M44 it's a great deal. And there are a couple of others that look interesting...

Thanks for the good info.

About the only issue is that guns are delivered Adult Signature Required, so someone would have to be there to sign for it, or you can have it held at a UPS facility and pick it up there..

"Held for pick up..." That's what I intend to do! Easier to sneak it home and slip it in through the basement window that way!

My digital camera bit the big one and refuses to focus. So I'll just have to post a picture from the company's I got it from web site. It came with a holster, lanyard, cleaning rod, and the wolden holder for the take down tool, but no blade...the only bummer. It's a 1937 Tula arsenal gun. Shipping was 11 something.

Mine was sent Fed-Ex. Which is good, because their facility is a lot closer to me than UPS.

I figured I used it once, it just about covered the transfer fee from my gunsmith. I've used it twice now, so it's already paid for itself!
