| Member | Gun shows and ammo etc. So I went to my first gun show since starting to collect some C&R weapons including a 91/30. Two observations for me for the future and attending gun shows. First, is that all the ammo I saw was not any cheaper than what I can get on-line, even with the savings on shipping. I will order all future ammo on-line. I drove 1.5 hours to pay the exact same prices for what I could have had delivered to my door. But the second factor made the trip worth while. That being it was neat to see and touch all the stuff in real life that one can only look at in pictures on the internet. Like a FEG pa-63 pistol. I now know that I want one for sure. But I will probably order it on line. |

| Senior Member | Its about the same at my local show (couple of months ago). The only deal there was powder and I didn't see anyone buying other than me. They had powder in one and 4# jugs for four dollars more than on the internet and I didn't have to pay a $20 hazmat fee on top of it. That was a deal!! Dave ![]() |

| One Buwwit Weft ![]() | It's always hit and miss.. At a show about a month ago I found 900 rounds of 8mm Mauser ammo, sealed in tin and still in the wooden box, for $90.. Of course, I had to ask if that was bottom dollar.. I walked out with it for $80 cash.. Deals are there, if you hunt them out.
