Angry Mystery Mosin

Well, sitting here in Starkville, MS. Didn't have the number to the place I was gonna get the "mystery mosin" from, so I didnt know they were closed sat./sun.. Looks like I'll be waiting till Monday before I can get that rifle, if they even still have it. Sorry for the wait, gonna try and remember to pickup a digi-cam tomorrow from wally world, and upload pics as soon as I can. I was so anxious last night I barely slept, then when I woke up, I almost left to go to store, then realized it was only Sunday

Mosinitis - Ailment due to being 'hooked' on a Mosin-Nagant; often amplifies symptoms of anxiety disorders, especially while waiting for a sale.
Also known to cause daydreaming, and in severe cases, the subjects have been known to 'fondle' their Mosins.

In exactly 27hrs from now, I will be towards the store, wish me luck

Mike, I know the feeling. I am doing the same thing. I am just hoping that it will still be there. Fortunately, if one is gone then a SKS hopefully will still be there. The SKS is at a shop I will have to call and if it is still there it will be the first time I will be buying a rifle sight unseen with out even seeing a picture. Good price on a Chinese SKS in excellent condition. I have seen what he calls excellent and they are great guns. I trust the gun shop owner more than I should I guess.

I used to live in Starkville. I enjoyed my time there, even though I'm an Ole Miss grad.

Good luck on the new Mosin!

Small world. I'm from Pennsylvania, but my family lived there for a short time in the early Sixties, while my Dad was getting his Master's degree.

<bah humbug> valentine's day

Valentine's Day is always the worst day of the year for me, it was the day my first gf broke up with me....and I know now I am cursed to never have anything good happen on the 14th of February. The mystery mosin was a sold mosin, they told me they sold it early this morning as a last-minute valentine's day gift....but it wasnt sold to ME.... GAHHH!!!!!!

Now to PM myself and use a lot of explicits that wouldn't be good for lil eyes to see.

I know now what I must do....sending paperwork in for C&R, Classic Arms will have my business....ALOT!!!!

^Mosinitis Freak^

Just look at it as so you weren't meant to have that Mosin. Same with the gf, it just means something better will come along. When you aren't or stop looking, is when you'll find one. But, with the Mosin, you won't have to buy her dinner before she'll let you touch her or play with her. lmao

Plus, she likes to eat cheap food (ammo) and doesn't mind getting a little dirty now and then.

thanks you guys, i needed a hehe, haha, rofl....

think i'm gonna surf guntrader.com and see if i can find the store's ID, they told me they just setup an account there recently, and gave me a business card of theirs, wonder if they've found out I screwed them outta their other rifles i bought from em yet

their guntrader ID is: swap-shop-mississippi

also, excellent condition SKS's going for 150-250 here at local pawn shop, they have 3 left.
1) SKS with new synthetic camo stock = $250
2) SKS 'bare' with large clip (has star on side of clip) = $150
3) SKS 'loaded' with standard clip (bayo, etc) = $200
all come with accessories i believe

on the above mentioned prices, jw if we have cheap, average, or high prices around here compared to other members on G&G.

Exclamation ding ding ding M91/30, cheap price....cheap looks too :P

I found it...it's MINE!!!! jkjk....check this link and look at the "fixed" s/h, swedesteve, if anything, you could get for parts. I would get but...hmmm, can't think of an excuse not to atm, except the local FFL holder told me that if I ever got anything online that required FFL, to give him a day's notice....only problem here is the auction ends in 8hrs and it's almost 1am here

tell me whatcha think about that rifle, and if the stock looks salvageable, or if that looks like water dmg, etc.

GunBroker.com guns: Russian 91/30 1939 TULA Mosin Nagant Original (item: 91338313 ends: Feb-15-08 1029 AM)

Mike I don't see anything like water damage. I would steer clear of anything with cracks near the receiver though. Unless you just gotta have it!

Well, actually what i had thought about doing, if I could find a cheapo M91/30 or cheap mosin period, is to modify the stock, or something to make a pistol grip then cut the barrel down a few inches, hehe, Dirty Harry? or maybe Dirtier Harry....5shot pistol with a 24-30" barrel would be cool, I guess it wouldn't be feasible considering it's bolt-action, which means 2handed operation, but doing that with an old beatup SKS might be neat.

I'm nutty, I know

I have a 7mm-08, which is single shot. I like it alright i guess...It's just a lil 'small' tho, and can only shoot once. For fun it'd be cool if they'd make one that was based on the old revolver rifles, that shot the 7mm-08 rounds. Sorta like this...>>> lol
