Not bad looking though, but the stock with the bipod doesn't look that great to me.

Just remember, the rifle will shoot off target with out any bayonet.
Not if he sights in the scope without the pigsticker attached.

Pictures, please?

Just got a 2.5 IER Leupold. Not mounted yet.

Seems odd to me to have glass on a gun. I'm used to shotgun hunting.

Thanks.

"Only thing I think I would do is remove the bayonet lug properly." Watcha mean jmp?
Remove it so it doesn't leave a marred spot on the barrel.

Thanks marion I thought I would never get all the cosmo. out of it! then I figured out to take the stock and "cook" it on my grill then strip, sand, and restain it put on a scout scope mount then eventually the leupold scope. I would like to rotate the bayonet lug to the botom and use it to attach a sks bayonet bipod on it. thats my next planned inprovement.

Is there any way to remove the front sight and seat on a M44 without "messing-up" the barrel?

Keep killing 'em, Kal. If you knock off a few million more and find some dedicated followers to do the same, they might someday be rare enough for my collection to be worth big bucks to my grandkids.
