| It's still a very nice looking rifle. I wouldn't kick it out of my safe. lol

| That would make sense. Would be a small shell load but not too different from the shot shells for pistol rounds we have.

| Probably never, ever fired. I'd bet it was just a mock-up to see if they could do it and they never did the finishing touches like rifling or sights.

Moose, I don't see why they would chamber/fire the firearm without rifling it, unless they're just seeing if it works and don't care about accuracy or getting semi-correct chamber pressures, since you're going to have different pressures with a rifled barrel.

| I read the listing but have one question As a newbi to Mosinitis I was wondering something: I've seen the prices you guys (and gals) list but this one seems to be out there. Is this price a little high? Could you (or would you) shoot this gun? Last edited by LefthandShooter; 03-08-2008 at 12:48 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

I personally would NEVER shoot this. It would be either a wall-hanger to drum up fun Mosin conversation with visitors and/or an investment for when people want to pay more for something that's probably really close to "very rare" if not "unique".

| Mighty tempting, but for nearly $500 there are several other Mosins both Finn and Russian/Soviet I want that can shoot. |
