My M44 has the name Vlad carved in the stock. He must of been some cold war era Romanian soldier who was very atached to his rifle, or some Big 5 employee has a sense of humour.

What year is that m44?... if it's WWII-era, then it's likely that "Vlad" was a Russian soldier. You may be holding something that kept "Vlad" alive... or was the last thing he held before he died.

I love it when you find stuff like that! All the gun store owners know I am the guy that comes in and pours over the milsurps. They all think I'm crazy!

Finnish 1942 M91 with a Tikka barrel(shoots like a lazer)
1946 M44 Very crispy
a fully engraved m44 customized with custom sights,stocks, bolt handle verry pretty. the Engraving was done by someone that knew what they where doing. whe whole barrel and reciever . very nice.
At one time I had 14 mosins but now only 3

MM, SOG has dropped the B barrel price $20 on the latest flyer that came with VKT. $329... Hmmm The M39 Match Target is the same price but not a C&R.

It's a Romanian, the reciever is marked 1952. I will throw a pic up when I get a chance.
