i'm definitely pondering the thought of buying a few crates....i wonder if there's a limit to number of crates you can buy?

I got my newest today. A 1943 Izhevsk M38 with laminated M44 stock.

I was surprised when the UPS guy brought it to me. I just won it on Gunbroker on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday, barely 48 hours after I bought it. From New York to Tennessee by UPS Ground, no less.

Since my only other Mosin is a 91/30, the M38 seems tiny. I'm guessing the recoil will be impressive.

It is counter bored. All numbers match. The bore is shiny. It passed the field gauge test. I'm happy with it so far.

The brass end caps are some what rare. The rifle is not. But don't worry. Hang onto it and shoot it !!
