Greetings.
I think I have a Finnish 91/30. Tikka barrel with 1944 date, shiny bore with crisp rifling. Round receiver with no markings that I can see, post and globe front sight. The bolt handle isn't straight, it's a bit curved. Straight stock.
I bought it off of some fella for $50 back in 92. I went there to buy a single shot 45-70 H&R and walked away with both for $100. I've put a lot of rounds through it and it's a tack driver. Very fun to shoot and a good companion to my SVT-40.

Gorgar, reload some X54R brass with some Viagra. Should help that bolt immensely.

Good idea! If anything, the guys at the range will go home feeling a little stiff.

Hey Gorgar, in reply to your post, I purchased a Finnish Mosin-Nagant mfg. in 1941 with Tikka barrel, 2 piece stock, wire sling hangers and the bolt is bent down and back a little like the one on your rifle,,,this makes about the third rifle I have been made aware of with this bent bolt featurs,,,,just seems to be on some of the Finnish rifles,,,, |

It is definitely bent and not welded. It's also shorter than the bolt handles on the snipers that Ive seen pics of.

Hello all! Wavo here.
First post and first Mosin. I'm so glad I found this forum, I've already learned how to take apart my bolt and check the firing pin clearance and how to get any excessive Cosmoline off my gun. Such a wealth of information here! I just picked this baby up on Christmas eve at Big 5 for $89.
It's a 1943 Izzy with matching numbers and has been counterbored. I haven't even shot it yet, but I can't seem to put it down and I know I'm going back to Big5 next week when they get another shipment in to pick up a M44.
Is this the fever everyone speaks of? |

I got a 1938 Tula with matching numbers, and in great condition! I will be putting up pics later, but right now photobucket isn't working and the pics are to big to put right in the forum. I am really happy with this gun! I can't wait to shoot it!
