I am not sure, Gannie. At first glance I thought that was a Sako proof but that is not correct I don't think.

Well Its been awhile.. WOW Last post was in the 70-ish...area now the armys gone into the 80s.. AMAZING ..

Moy Nawvee ex-Snaiper...
Received a 1944 Izhevsk 91/30 for my Birthday.. about... 20 Days ago.. Its an Ex-Sniper with all matching numbers.. First of mine to actually have a Full name... Tatyana Milachenko..

She has an oddity bout her.. behind the buttplate there is 2 holes.. O.o Id never heard of 2 holes under a plate before, any ideas as to the Why? o.O..

(Sorry for the blurriness, ive said it before Ill say it again... The Kodak camera we have sucks bad) Any idea as to why there are 2 holes? Theres not a second (or 3rd hole for those who are paying attention) in the plate but theres one in the stock.. strange..

My M91 "Anastasia" and her new sister Tatyana..

lol, Strangely They seem to be mischievous.. Off and on 1 will be heavier then the other.. and then it will flip.. The other will be heavier... Yet my friends M44 is always the Lightest to me..

The first shot i fired out of My 91/30 Hit the target dead on.. so much so Shrapnel bits of the plastic jug Went flying.. xD

Congrats on goin into the 80s in pages...

oh.. and HURRAH! for this one coming with its own CLEANING ROD.. hehe .. lacked a sling tho.. but thats all taken care of..

I wouldn't think so with a big old SA stamped on the side of the barrel.

Still can't tell from the picture what that stamp is over the serial number. Looks like a SYE. I don't know what it could be.

Isn't there another aresenal, Shevyt..... somthing or other? Could that be a rearsenal mark from another arsenal? Or maybe from one of the special units it may have went to?

Cool

From what I can see on 7.62x54r.net All the "S" markings are finnish. They show a SY but no SYE.

A secret between me and Geo M44. Let's just say he named a price, I jumped through hoops before he changed his mind. Can't tell you how nice this gun looks. Geo kept it real spiffy.

Want more but wife told me I don't need any more. Best thing about Mosin's are they look a like to the untrained eye so it is easy to sneak them in and hide the extras.
