Well between Mooseman and me we have at least 17 (I plan on buying one more today at the gunshow).

So we almost add up to a recon patrol... ok so we are 8 short, but if I throw in the SKS (and I'm sure mm has a few other rifles) maybe that makes up for it.

But, 7 MN's is quite a lug at around 55 pounds... so maybe not.

Thanks Steve. Not quite battalion strength, but growing.

P.S. But we almost have rifles for a full Company (200). So do we have 200 members on this forum?

(500-1500 for battalion strength)

If only these old lead tossers could talk. I always wanted to put that bumper sticker on one of my cars. "My gun has killed less people than Ted Kennedy's car". But I like the old Heavy Duty Battle Rifles. Mine have been used to kill probably hundreds of "the Enemy". Makes me wonder who used to have this Rifle and for what and where it was used.

My M44 was used as a stake to hold up a mess tent. I know because only the left side was rusty! Damn that camp dog!!!

EDIT: I'm playing blackjack with my dog................ he's winning!
(damn that camp dog) I forgot, I never added mine into the mix! So will wait for others that were wearing aluminum foil hats to fess up ther #'s, an I'll throw mine in as well!

Yeah. I think we all wonder about who owned them, and where they were, how many died on the recieving side of these muzzels, and even if the temporary owners are still alive.

I also sometimes wonder how many died on the other end of the 5" rounds I helped lob into the jungle... I do know that it kept a lot of our Special Forces and the ROK allies alive, so the other doesn't bother me much. Especially when I know what happened after we left.

Funny how people forget about the millions that died after we aboandoned them in 1975. In addition the 58,000 American lives lost. But I digress.

No, but we have enough rifles for a full company... The SKS's and AK's will help, but they're not MN's.

We could organize our own Mosin Militia but they would probably toss us in jail after passing that bogus anti terrorist act.

M91-6
Dragoon- 8
M91/30- 66
M38- 23
M44- 72
M91/59- 3
Finns- 17
Chinese- 2
22 Trainer- 1
Nondescript- 41
Totaling: 239 Mosins and counting!

He's counting up all the separate posts that everyone has said they have. So, that's a count of all the mosins accounted for in this thread alone.
