Count me in for a 1944 SA marked finn M39 with post war stock, all matching. This baby is beautiful and I will have pics later when I get it cleaned up. Will find out the tang date to. It's a low wall hex receiver.

Picked up a 1945 M44 today at a gun show for $100. The stock looks like its been used as a hammer...or a chew toy. The metal all looks great. All numbers match except the mag floor plate. The bore is nice and shiny with strong rifling and its not counter-bored. I'm happy with it. Don't know how it shoots yet but I did fire 2 rounds just to test function.

I was told in the welcome forum to report to the Mosin Nagant thread to post pics of my 2 Finnish M39's to be in compliance with this great forum so here they are.

Do not have a cow because of the scope on the M39 in the top of the pic. This is an original Sako wartime stock number matching rifle and I would never do anything do modify it. I only removed the pin that held the rear leaf sight in place. Then I custom fit a rail buy shortening the rear of it about an inch. I then installed two screws through the existing holes for the pin on the leaf sight and cenetered the rail. I bought a laser sight from Sight Mark to help sight it in but it was pretty much useless because even with the bolt closed it still could move around a little but I should at least be on the paper when I bring it to the range to do the bore sighting. I would not waste my money on one of these if you are thinking of buying one.
The second M39 is not quite as nice the stock has a fair amount of dings but the rifleing on the barrel is strong. It is still cover in cosmoline like it was when I received it two months ago. I am going to see how much I can clean it up without losing the finish on the wood.

Picked up a 26'Tula Ex-Dragoon at Gander Mt. With a Tula stock and spliced nose. Still has some cosmo and a great bore. Man, gonna have to stay out of the gun shops.

So here is what I have so far:

1936 Tula 91/30 Round Receiver
1948 Izzy M44
1942 Izzy M38
??? New England Westinghouse M91
1943 Tula 91/30 Hex Receiver
1943 Izzy 91/59
1941 Izzy SA Stamped 91/30 Finn Capture
1942 Izzy 91/30
1944 VKT M39
1938 Izzy 91/30

So, other than a Remington, what should I be setting my sights on next?
