I like this is a sticky now! Don't have to search for it. I just got a Tula 1944 M44 here a couple weeks ago, and I don't know if my Izhevsk ex-sniper ever made it either. So there are 2 more. And after a search of my posts in this thread, my Finn M27 I don't think ever made it on here either. Found that one in a pawn shop. Too bad it was sporterized, but it shoots well

New to the forum, first post. I just bought one last night. 97 bucks for the rifle. I think it's Tula made in 1931? Please feel free to correct me. This is all very new to me. Cleaned the crud out of it with the mineral spirits method which I learned in this forum this morning. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! If it's not raining tomorrow, my son and I are going to shoot it. Thank you again for already giving me a ton of information on this awesome rifle.

Looks like my 1929 Ishevsk, hex receiver. Only 40 rounds through mine so far. Going target shooting with it again next month. Tons of fun.

Thank you sir. My son and I went out and shot 75 rounds through it yesterday. Almost 1 round per year for it's age. It shoots fairly true at 50 yards. My son was hitting propped up clay targets at 50 yards. I have some paper targets that I'll post. It is such a thrill to shoot! Something about shooting a gun with such a history that's made it all the way from its origin to our house. It's definitely a keeper. Officially it's my son's first gun. He's 16.

1953 Polish M44, unissued, matching and still loaded with cosmoline under the woodline, and in the bolt area. Basically, just the exterior was cleaned. Picked it up today..

Here is the paper we shot first day out. Shot at 25 yards sitting at a bench. Like I said earlier at 50 yards we were popping clay targets which were propped up. I think we'll get even better with practice.

BTW Paper, I have severe Mosin envy. Looks brand new. That thing is beautiful!!

And thanks!! Near as I can tell, it is brand new.. I don't think it's ever had a round down it's barrel..

Just picked up a 1944 Izzy ex-sniper from Gander Mountain last Saturday. Great condition. Stock is near perfect, much better than my repo sniper.
Hopefully the weather will be nice on Saturday so I can see how this baby shoots.
