Edit : He's even gotton jealous of the remote control too ! He wants to bite it ! He must be gett'in old, he didn't use to be this way.

I can't even sneak a candy bar anymore because he can smell it a mile away.
He goes ape chit if I don't give him a tiny pinch !!! Snickers is his favorite.

well the dumb part was it wasnt really a mod, I got the stock kinda discolored, so I was just going to oil it up and make it shine....

but what ever... I told them I would paint it pink now that I knew it would make all those wackos loose sleep LOL then they banned me from the site HAHAHA. buncha shmucks.

Hey, Blues...welcome aboard. You will find some heated arguments here and some good advice but all are friendly.
Too bad about previous forum.
I hope you learned a valuable lesson about spraying carb cleaner before you removed the wood...We all have learned from our mistakes. Anyway, you have to strip the old finish off before you can apply a new finish.
Keep a stiff upper lip and just fart the jerks off.

lol thanks oldjar.... I will post some pics soon, its not really that bad, really, its not as dark as the norm m44 but it did still have some finish left and I think I will leave it as is for now it still looks great. If I get the urge to redo it later I'll strip it and start from scratch.

You are gonna refinish....sigh...I said I wouldn't do that again.

When I accidentally sprayed brake cleaner all over the side of my rifle I let it dry with out touching it and rubbed Hoppe's into it. The discolored part disappeared completely! The same happened when I sprayed WD40 in the bore of my m39 and it ran down the top of the stock. Left a streak. I lightly wiped Hoppes over it and now you can barely tell there was a Boo boo there!

Dang, ya'll can talk all day long about your modern cleaners. I think Hoppe's No 9 is the best stuff ever made!!! That is if you take out Southern Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes with sausage gravy and Grandma's cornbread.

maybe you will get a "trippy"effect.
