hi guys! new to the site. as you might have guessed from my name, i bought a 43 issue 91/30 and i've been addicted to this site ever since.

jmp: while the lefty bolt is a pretty cool idea, i see a significant flaw with that particular design. the angular bend needed to lay over the rifle would be directly blocking the iron sights. in all reality, anything welded to the existing bolt which crossed to the left side would block the iron sights.

just my thinking though, if anyone's got a way around that, go for it!

If you put three bends or so in it high enough to see the iron sites you could almost make it a peep sight make the bolt frame the site lol, but in all actuality you could just practice right handed and shoot. I'm left eye dominant and should shoot left handed but with my M44 I scoped it anyways so dominant eye is not a problem.

You could always rechamber it with a left handed 3030

Yeah, there isn't really a good way to make a right-handed boltaction left-handed lol But if you did do that, you'd have everyone's attention, even if it is in the form of ridicule!
