| gandog....Did the pad you got from Davids fit right on the buttstock without trimming? That pad looks good on your rifle..........rifle looks good too. |

| Senior Member | hmmm, that kinda looks like a holo sight....it may be a red dot tho, most red dots i've seen were red dot scopes....and yeah, i like ur butt-pad....but the rifle is ugly with that shiny stock and non-shiney barrel cover(jkjk) lol....where's that pretty 91/30 with the dark mono-tone stock?

| Senior Member | is it just me, or is the strap backwards on ur monotone 91/30? the buckle looks to be on the inside when u pick it up.

| Mosin Nagant Parts and Accessories This link will take you to David's Collectibles, which sells the rubber Mosin recoil pads. I just installed one on my Type 53. The fit on the top of the pad could be better, but I expect it will go a long way toward taming the alleged wallop of the Mosin carbines. I suspect the fact the stock is Chinese and not Russian has something to do with the mediocre fit. It took about 3 weeks for my order to arrive, but I think it's worth the wait. |
