Good luck.

hmmm, that kinda looks like a holo sight....it may be a red dot tho, most red dots i've seen were red dot scopes....and yeah, i like ur butt-pad....but the rifle is ugly with that shiny stock and non-shiney barrel cover(jkjk) lol....where's that pretty 91/30 with the dark mono-tone stock?

No trimming was necessary.

Faster acquisition and I don't have to have my eye a certain distance from the scope.

On the other hand, no magnification help.

It is a holo, but both kinds just have a red dot instead of crosshairs. Photobucket was down for maintenance. Couldn't get the picture of my other 91/30.

for any future pics of guns with scopes, check my scoping thread, page 3, it has a good many you can go thru, and no worry about photobucket being down

Mosin Nagant Parts and Accessories

This link will take you to David's Collectibles, which sells the rubber Mosin recoil pads. I just installed one on my Type 53. The fit on the top of the pad could be better, but I expect it will go a long way toward taming the alleged wallop of the Mosin carbines. I suspect the fact the stock is Chinese and not Russian has something to do with the mediocre fit.

It took about 3 weeks for my order to arrive, but I think it's worth the wait.
