To remove the Crossbolt, you need either a sharp pointed needle nose pliers or a special spanner wrench...I use the needle nose pliers in the 2 holes and unscrew the nut, then tap the crossbolt out with a brass punch or nail set punch...The nut has the 2 holes !

If you have a good pair of tru arc pliers they do a good job on this type of bolt head

just out of curiousity....what does the crossbolt do or what is it there for? i never noticed a real use for it, unless for rigidity purposes <shrug>

It is there to absorb recoil frm the receiver and to keep the stock from splitting.

The one in the pistol grip is not a bolt, but a screw usually, and is ground off on both sides during a refurb.

Sometimes I get tempted to get a voice recognition program so I don't have to type.

I have one. It takes a long time to get it accurate, I'm still working at it.

tehhehe, i like using TTS, type-to-speak or w/e it means, when u type something a voice named "microsoft Sam" says what you put....with a lil imagination, you can type something innocent to someone, and it'll make it sound like he's cussing them out
