| I'm thinking that most MN owners have plenty of potential keychains and necklaces in the shooting bag. The Bulgarian brass does tumble well, and even copper-wash or zinc would look ok. All you need is an empty round, a bullet and a drill (do make sure that it is empty). |

| As I mentioned in the other thread on this from many months back, I personally wouldn't have drilled through the sidewall; I'd drill straight into the primer and set an eye-loop screw into it, then thread the key ring into that. Not only would it look cooler, but you could do it at home a lot easier, since the primer is flat and the sidewall is round... It's not easy to drill on a curved surface.

| Yes, Swede that did cause quite a uproar. Not much was said they just searched and searched to find nothing. Pulled me back into that room and searched me head to toe. Took everything out of that bag and rescanned it. Asked me a bunch of questions. I was there a good 30 minutes before they let me go on. I am glad I left myself plenty of time so I wasn't upset. Just didn't understand why everyone was so concerned. Wasn't until I was on the plane thinking about it that I realized why I had a problem! Then there was the time I forgot a cheap lockback knife was in my brief case. I got through security twice with it in the bottom of my case before someone found it. He held it up and said knife!! I asked him what he needed me to do. He said throw this away. I did and was out of there in 3 minutes. ![]()

| No don't. I attempted to board the airplane out of MidWay in Chicago this past week with a .45 ACP drilled just like that one on eBay. I'd boarded the plane out of Texas earlier in the week...no problem. The TSA fellow in Chicago said "he didn't know if it was against the law but wasn't going to let me board with it". I ask to see the supervisor but they were no where to be found. Not wanting to miss my plane, slipped it off my key chain and handed it to him. Today there's some TSA guy walking around Chicago with a damn nice .45 ACP bullet on his key chain. o~\o |

| Learned this from an airline pilot. If something like that happens again. Demand a hat box and have it checked. I was talking with an airline pilot who forgot to check a small swiss army knife that his daughter had given to him. They stopped him at security and were trying to make him throw it away. He demanded a hat box, which they had to provide and he checked the knife through. According to him they are required to let people check things that are legal to transport in the cargo area.
