Well said Swede! This is our blessing. That we may be here to support one another as the great Comrade Mosin and Comrade Nagant would want us to be.

Bought the Tula M44 today! I had to keep looking at the markings to make sure I was not missing something. Even looked at the arsenal stamp to make sure no one just tried to overstamp an Izzy. Nope. It's all good! It's mine!

The sad thing is that when I tried to explain why I was so excited to the guy who was writing me up he just looked at me like I had lost my mind. I guess he was one of those high brow, shooting vest wearing, amber eye shaded, calf skin leather shooting gloved, stack barrel owning flat bellies that is too good to stoop to the mil surplus level.

I pray each and every day they continue to procreate, rapidly, so the percentages of the number of us vs. Mosins continue to swing in our favor!

BB21 and Tex, Thanks again for the lead BB, I sent a copy of my 03-FFL and ordered (according to Rob) the last one they had for $125 (plus ~$20 shipping). If you happen to go by there again have a look, unless they have boxed it up already. I'm tempted to haggle for the cracked stock M44 if it's still there. I wonder if they would take $80 for it...

Tex, this time I am the one delaying shipping until I know somebody could be home to sign for it, so it will be about 10 days til it's safe at home in the desert.

If it's half as nice as BB says, I will be a happy camper, and rounds out the carbine collection nicely. I still need one more for the Richards stock, so will probably pick one up at J&G next weekend, when I make an ammo run.

When it gets here (and is cleaned-up) it's time for a family photo (now 6 since the Big5 91/30 resides with a new owner). I will probably buy a Tula Hex to replace the round 91/30.

I think someone ought to send AH a Mosin. Then he'll be addicted and have only questions instead of funnies!

Great Idea Swede! Why don't we take up a collection and send him one! COD of course. Or heck, we could all pitch in...buy him the dang rifle and then all of us could descend upon him and drink all his beer!

Maybe that was his plan all along. You get on a forum that talks about a rifle you want. Make a big fuss, ask a lot of creatively stupid questions designed to drive everyone nuts, assume nothing and they will get so tired of you not having a rifle and whining about it at every turn and they will take up a collection to buy it for you just to shut you up! BRILLIANT!!!

Arkansas, I hope you know we are just pulling your leg!
