Hey Squirell, Sorry to hear about you having the baggibies. I know you must be suffering. I hear they have medicine to treat those now.

At 1500 yards those 2 MN shots will already be in the dirt. The .50 BMG will still be flying along tearin the s--t out of things. If the guys shootin back are using 50's you'd better be able to run a four second mile.

If you've never seen "prairie-doggin the Taliban" it might be worth a view (not for the feint of heart or stomach). Not sure it's still around on-line. A reminder of what these weapons are really designed to do.

Never seen a 416 Rigby that could shoot 1500 yards either! But I will agree that the 50bmg is one hell of a long range weapon. I would NOT want to be on the receiving end of a couple of shots from one. Even if they missed the shock wave would knock me on my butt!

I know that you have all seen the Berrett .416... Right?

Cold shot, 2500 yards, 6" low and to the right (heart shot?) It will be on the Military Channel again tomorrow.

It's a little disarming to think that a sniper has the capability of hitting you from over a mile away... on the first shot!!!

So very true. That is why the sniper is so damn effective as a weapon. Mile away or a hundred yards away. The thought of a shot out of nowhere at any time is tremendously disheartening.

it would be hard to concentrate on the task at hand if you thought you might die any second!
