Stalin was indeed an evil man. His purges were on such a vast scale, they can only estimate how many died! But I don't recall any insances where he ate them, ala Idi Amin Dada!

In the TV series, The Unit, the episode "Dark of the Moon" there are SOOOO many Mosins,AK's,SKS's and Enfields than ive ever seen in a movie

Out of curiosity, which military leaders were these? From my limited knowledge of the battle, most if not all the major military officers in charge of the defense and counter-attack at Stalingrad survived the war and lived well into the postwar period.

I thought most of the military leaders that were killed by other Soviets,were killed before the USSR entered the war.
