Judging by the sounds of your health concerns I would not argue with your choice. I would opt for the lighter round in the Marlin. A 357 round will give you an adequate deer rifle out to around 100 yards. The 44mag if you can handle it would be better but the recoil would be a lot greater. Sad to sell the Tula though.

If the bores were good, I'd buy two and restore one.

I didnt get into them that far. Was just passing by and noticed them. Will be there again tomorrow and will probably give them a better look. I already have one so dont need another but might consider it so I can use the stock as mine is in a M44 stock.

You made it to one day before?
You're lucky, I don't even have a payday.

So, I go to pick up my new glasses. I am excited because I had them made so that I have was supposed to have clearer vision in the area of my glasses that I look through to shoot. The Optometrist assured me I would be able to see the sights better on my rifles.
I put them on and can not see my hand in front of my face. All the gal can say is..."yes, but if you look through (points at a little spot on the glasses the size of an eraser head) here can you see?" 500 bucks for a pair of glasses and they screw it up.
I had my doubts when they told me that my original optometrist had retired and this new guy bought the place. Welp, they will just remake them until I can see.

So here I am this morning all fat and happy, my mom calls me and says she is getting a knee replacement the end of the month. So I tell her I'll come on down for 2 weeks and be her gofer. Then we get the pleasure of trying to get an airline booking. The day I want to leave it's like all airplanes are leaving about 6 AM. Not good. finally after a couple hours we find one that leaves at a decent time. My mom was paying for the ticket so she called them up and arranged everything. Of course she gets some guy with a foreign accent she can hardly understand. How can companies hire people to answer phones that normal English speakers cannot understand?
Anyways she tells the guy I need aisle seats all the way, and he says OK. Then she asks him if there is any luggage charge, and the guy could not tell her. When did they start charging you to check in your luggage, anyways? (I haven't flown in a long time!)
Anyways get an email with the ticket confirmation, and it says seating : Not specified. How could Pancho screw that up? Plus I go to the airline website and it clearly states there is a checkin fee. Pancho screwed up that answer, too? Or maybe it was a Habib, I didn't ask my mom. Anyways looks like I'll be in Alabamy for a couple. Which is OK, because my little bro's birthday is on the 29th.

Mom was probably talking to someone in India. Seems to be all the corporate rage these days to farm out their Customer Service depts. to India. After all, they can't pay Americans to do that now, can they?

Tell them that because of two knee replacements you can not slide over into another seat. They will help.

I'm not worried too much about the seats. More worried about the operation.

Frikkin' 5.1 system speakers on my computer are acting up. Start shooting out static intermittently. Like I need the expense of replacing them right now!
