I haven't had any knee work done, but morphine makes me very nauseous as well.

I've never had any work done on any of my apendages. I get woozy on one pain pill!

Been raining and often POURING since the middle of the night. Actually see puddles where they are not usually seen.

Sort of a bummer until my new job gets going.

That is one of the most common side effects of Morphine is an upset stomach. I have severe arthritis in my knees but I avoid the pain pills because while they do take the pain away I always end up higher than a kite and am completly unable to do much of anything besides stare at the TV. Had to take some when I had some oral surgery and they would put me to sleep for a good 4 hours everytime. I'll bear the pain and remain alert until the pain level is really bad.

I can't take pain pills either so I don't take them. 2 or 3 Advil seem to work for me when I need them.
I've taken Hydro Codone the dentist prescribed with out ill effects. It puts me to sleep.
I reinjured my right knee I thought yesterday and it hurt but I didn't take anything for it and it's better today.
At least I can walk now...A.H

Well, when I went in this morning they took away her morphine pump. Then they tried Oxycontin that didn't work too well, Now it's Lortab, which is like a small hydrocodone.

Her nausea is gone, but the pain is worse. So I guess the morphine was doing her some good, even if it was making her sick.

I think it's all in her head. I had two knee replacements and I never got sick.
Morphine doesn't make me sick...it makes me crabby as a heck! I hate that stuff!

Road trips are cool when you don't have to do them every day!

The best vacation I ever had was to start in Los Angeles and drive up the coast highway all the way to the Oregon border and back. That was a wonderful drive and a wonderful experience!

Don't yet know where all my new job will take me but it will be road trips for sure.

It rained from yesterday morning until this morning. Grass got a little sun this afternoon.

Listen, and you can hear that stuff growing!

lol....all i can hear is 5k rpm's of pure music....and the gps saying "off route...off route...off route"....it seems the oldest sections of the coast road aren't on the gps....i wonder if those road closed signs had anything to do with that....also, i can't tell which lane i'm in cuz there's sand covering 90% of the road bed. Man, the LA coastal section was a pain....red lights were seen as green, cuz it was still dark when we were going thru there this morning....i'm packing, but still wanted to avoid any situations. Got caught in a slow moving section west of Salinas. The best view was the part of road that drove along the black rock cliffs, awesome scenery. Also, found out that washington state has a law against using laptops in your car. Luckily i was tipped off right about 5miles before hitting a road block. They confiscate laptops if they're turned on while driving?!? That's a lil harsh. Was also harrassed by a state trooper because he couldn't target us with his laser....fortunately everything was hidden so I felt the nerve to tell him that maybe his equipment was faulty or out of calibration. I'm so mean sometimes, lol.

BTW: is there a bridge between port angeles and victoria? That would save alot of time, my mapping on GPS is old, but the paper map i got shows white dashes that go between port angeles and victoria....it couldn't be anything else than a bridge or tunnel right? it sure would save a LOT of time.

We've made awesome time so far pulling speeds of over 160 for short distances on the straightaways to try and cut down the 19hr normal drive time to as short as possible....lotsa twisty turnys tho.... even got sideways in 1 section where some sand was on road, slowed it down a bit after that.

This pit stop is being well-enjoyed....first thing i did when i got outta car was go lay down in the middle of the road lol. Long Beach is a beautiful area.

i'm just working on getting my arse unfrozen....the drive was chilly, but this boat ride's gonna freeze my butt off.

Update: i figured we'd find a flatboat ferry that goes every couple hours but noooo.....gotta sit and wait till morning....think we're just gonna stay the night here....i got no feeling in my toosh....butt ache just doesnt cover it.
