| Thanks Marion, that is better. I just got back from the range, and the M39 will put a bullet exactly where the sights say it should go... even at 300 yards (hit the metal target 5 times out of 10 shots). I can barely make out the target at that distance. But set the site to 300 meters, line up the V with the post and that's where it goes (minus a few inches). Here is the first target at 50 yards. Keep in mind that the last time I was at the range was November 07. The first 5 shots were "getting familiar" shots on the left and then the comp shot high and right at the 6 &7 ring. The next 10 were inside the 8 ring with a couple of overlaps. I love this rifle. Worth every penny. Now to work on that bolt. But an odd thing: .311 hand loads would not work (bolt would not close). Brown Bear worked fine (as you can see). Not sure of the problem with hand loads as the ojive length is fine and it works in the M44. Maybe bullet diameter at the neck. Any ideas? | That is a target to be proud of!! My m39 chambered surplus very well and once the barrel got dirty if shot very well. Want to try it with some better ammo to see if I can do better.

| Yeah, sorry BB. I haven't received the Tula yet so I was waiting to blame you separately... Also, I was told (by my therapists Rich & Steve) not to talk to you anymore... bad influence and all. ![]() There is enough guilt to go around. ![]() |

I'm really not complaining, Now that I have fired the M39, and it has more than lived up to my expectations... The M38 bore is fine, and the 1937 91/30... priceless. If the camo stock works out for Natalia... Life will be good. I am a happy camper. Damn this is fun! | |

| I think you are confusing that with the moosehide thong. The leopard one is Marion's. |
