| Bench vise First off this isnt a art class but I drew it out as best I can ..I am not a artist as you will figure out!! All boards are 5 1/2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick ( side boards can be as little as 1/4 thick) 1 cut bottom board 30 inches long and fit all other boards to it for width . 2 cut rest of boards as pictured 3 put gorilla glue on bottom of end board and nail it from bottom make sure it stays square with bottom board 4 take 8 inch wood clamp and apply glue to one side of it bottom and side that fits against end board and nail on bottom and thro end board into clamp Caution only glue one side of clamp other must move 5 then glue inside end board to clamp that is fixed and bottom board 6 apply glue to bottom of tall end board and glue and nail (Again make sure it is square with bottom board ) 7 now glue support board into place and nail it thro tall end board and bottom board Some words of caution .. dont apply to much gorilla glue as it expands and will seep out onto surface the side boards form a tray for parts as you work The v cut can be what ever size you want or can even be U shaped Then add felt to all surfaces that touch gun stock( just make sure the bottome of the v is in line with the clamp post that you glued and made fixed .. You can glue clamp on which ever side you chose I cut and then set all boards and clamp in place and then decide whick one I want not to move
