counter bored m44

I have a m44 that's counter bored,but it's accurate and in brand new like condition.Sharp rifling and shinny bore.Does anybody else have one and how does it shoot.

how can you tell if your M44 is counter bored?

Mine is counter bored. It shoots like a champ!

If you can insert a round into the muzzle, it is counterbored. Or look down the end and you will see the ridge about an inch down where they stopped. If it has rifeling right up to the end it has not been counterbored.

Recently a lot of m44's coming in are counter bored .. previously not many were
I have bought two previous to recent imports and neither were counter bored .. I would caution all on assuming anything on imports to hold true as it is possible to find most anything being done .. also advise to think before you post and be sure you have your facts straight cause I have made mistakes in my statements and was corrected so stand bye to be corrected LOL

Most M44's and M38's have been counterbored for one of a few reasons. Lots were not because they saw verly little use, and did not require it during rearsenaling.

yes i did, thanks. i just checked it, it's in ohio, they bypassed indiana to
take it to ohio and then back to indiana i guess.
