But the other two are at a local gun shop. I think I might see if he will cut me a deal for both, because he is about as cool as they come.

Thanks for the thoughts guys!!

P.S. I am guessing that the Westinghouse not matching isn't a huge deal since it is so rare... I mean, it would be more valuable obviously, but it'll do. Thoughts?

P.S.S. I forgot to mention that the M39 has a decently large, green, two-digit number painted on the butt. Will this deduct value? And it is a 1940s VKT btw.
Like I said, if you have an 03-FFL, SOG has some very nice VKT's for $259 + shipping (maybe $12 depending on where you are). Here is an example:

That is VERY nice!
They already have my 03 on file, I just didn't know what the condition of their guns would be. Hard to decide when everyone advertises that the guns they have are
"the nicest shipment ever" or "the best you can find"

That pic is an actual SOG gun?

I bought one of the SAKO M39's from SOG, got a Handpicked one, and it was a beauty, like new rifle ! 299.00 + 10.00 Hand picked, plus shipping and transfer fee = 389.00 it cost me...so 239.00 in a store is a DEAL !!!

Because you need to buy all these guns...A.H
Pretty funny, but true.

Will do Capt'n!!
I might just wait and go the SOG route for the M39, because I do tend to have a weakness for like-new old guns...

Yup. Pretty much right out of the box. Bore was like new, and it is a Tack driver. The bolt was a little rough, but with a touch of polishing it's smoothe as can be. Like Mooseman it's a handpick so $10 more.

Some of the best iron sights I have used. Two shots and I was in the 8 ring the next 3 were in the 9 and 10 ring (50 yards).

Okay, so I am going to regretfully give in and use the ol' plastic method of payment and get the Westinghouse and M39 (as I said, the SKS sold). However, I decided to go SOG route for the Finn.

Therefore, I have one last question:
Sako or VKT? I figure spending an extra 40 bucks isn't that big of a deal to me if I will be happier in the long run. I care about collecting and shooting about the same amount.

Buy the VKT and the Wesinghouse...The VKT is Valmet and they are Top notch, Then If you want a SAKO , order it from SOG...That gives you the top 2 Guns...Next a B Barrel , which are the rarer Mosins( only 3000 Made) and then a Late Match target and you have a nice set of Finns !!!
