Finally a M38 !!

I finally picked up a M38! After months and months of looking I bit the bullet and bought one online. $109.99 and $35.00 for shipping! I couldn't be happier! She's a beauty. The fourth pic best shows the actual color of the wood.
So now I have the M91/59 to go. Then save, save, and wait for a M28 to surface!

Congrats swede. That's not to bad. I mean I know they can be had for cheaper, but in the end, if you're ok and happy with it, that's what counts right?... Looks good by the way.

Yep GM, typical shipping rate for us. M44's sell up here for $100-$110. I've waited and waited for a M38 to show up. After months, I gave up and ordered this beauty.
She has very little cosmoline on her, but it should be enough for a fix, LOL! Oh, by the way, she's a '43 Izhevsk in a M38 stock too.

I'm a proud owner of a 38 as well, absolutely love it! Will be getting a 91/30 soon.

Nice! By the way, my m44 has a "2" stamped in the same place as yours. I read somewhere that means training rifle. Do anyone know if that's true.

Steve, regarding the m91/59, I saw you weren't able to reply to my PM, but I'm not sure if you ever got around to trying to resend it... back on 3/18/2008.

Moose and everyone, I got it from marion's friend Pat! Sheis oneclassact. She gives you what you ask for and is the FASTEST shipping I've ever seen! That is one true fact!

Moose, look her up. Seems we will never see them up here anyways.

JAC PM me again! I lost your original dude!

I stripped her down tonight and EACH and EVERY part that is stamped is post 1928 Izhevsk stamped!

With a bore light, ad a paperclip, I am not sure if she is counterbored! I have run it through like sixtimes an still, I am wondering? She must be.... or maybe not?
