Well as I said, I am Mosin illiterate and I've never even paid close attention to what they look like when I've seen pictures of them. I'd seen the terms before and never really worried about it. For some reason this time I wanted to know. So after asking and figuring it had to do with the receiver, I just google images of a Mosin Hex and a Mosin round receiver and ta-da, right there in front of me.. lol

I guess when you don't own one or don't plan on getting one any time soon, there's no reason to worry about hex or round.

I dunno Glock... for 80 bucks you can't even buy a spare barrel for those Glock's. You're as bad as AH... He's a peeper too.

Well, Geo had me fooled! I thought he owned one! Especially seeing as though M44 was in his handle!

AH at least was upfront about not owning one.

Geo, go out there and buy one! They are a lot of fun and allow us to practice and shoot with out breaking the bank. Plus, the history of the rifles and the variety of models will keep you entertained for a long time!

I know that is a poor excuse for harassment but...forgive me, I am out of practice. LOL!

When I first started reading about Mosins I laughed when discovering that, as in everything else, we had ascribed terms and names to these rifles not ascribed by the Russians and Finns. I do understand that we almost have to, so as to have a set of common terms for reference. But a HEX or ROUND receiver wa pretty lame!

What's wrong with these people?!? Why wouldn't anyone want a Mosin? Can't help but to fall in love with those little things! To everyone who doesn't have one, do yourselves a fovor....Go buy one! Don't like it, sell it, you won't make more then a loss of ten bucks at max, there's tons of them and liked by many. Not a big investment, nor risk with trying one out and I'm sure, no matter what type of guns you're into, you'll like a Mosin!
