Had Posted this Before

Now that we've added a bunch more people here, I'll ask again:

Does anyone have a barrel thread access hole with a screw in it? It would be locate on the left side, high up on the recoil lug area of the receiver.

Can't say I've noticed one on my 91/30 or my two 91/59's.

I was hoping to find a few, and get a date range sort of. But I guess it's another one of those things I'll never know. Also, I was wondering if it was arsenal specific.

Cap'n- No, it's under the wood. That's my dilemna! Shop owners tend to frown when I disassemble their rifles.

Checked my 1943 high wall Izzy. Nothing, maybe it will be better to say, what years DON'T have this feature! What is the year and make of your 91/30 maybe this will help narrow it down a little bit.
