Here's something just for fun

Take a three liter plastic soft drink. Fill it with water and, if you wish,
some food coloring (it just takes a little). Screw on the lid.

Set them out about fifty yards. We like to pop them with my 20
gauge rifled Rossi slug gun.

It is pretty dramatic. Also, it if fun for younger shooters and those
not that proficient at longer range targets.

I use 9 inch cheap paper plates with a 1 inch square black target paster in the center...I buy 1200 plates at a time. If you miss the target ,you can still eat your lunch off them ! LOL

One of the G&G members posted a link to a bunch of targets. I bought some and they are much bigger then I thought they'd be. They're the M16 sight in targets. I figured 50 for $7.97 isn't bad. Makes them only like .16 cents each.

I have one Bin Laden one and planned on making copies. But to make them that size at like Kinkos would cost me too much. Cheaper to buy them.

If I ever find somewhere outdoor and won't get in trouble, I'll fill and shoot milk jugs and all sorts of other stuff. I like and prefer shooting stuff where you can see the results. Bullets through paper gets old.

So to answer your question, yes whatever I have or can get is what I shoot at. lol

Here's the link to the sticky for targets in the other accessories forum. For those who may not have seen them.

Okay, so me and my buddy got some industrial size glass apple sauce (or juice?) containers, filled them with water and put the caps on. Probably 4 liters of water. We shot them at about 50 yards and they explode to a diameter of like 30 feet!!!
HELL YA!!!!!!!

Oh, something else I like to shoot is those CDs that you can grab for free for internet services. lol I try and hit the center hole without breaking. Very hard to do. lol

Oh yea, a neighbor threw out some 2X2 square ceramic tiles samples in various colors. I'd say I picked up about 75 of them to shoot at.

Alaska is a very Gun friendly state, but if you shoot glass containers, metal cans, jugs, tv's computers, fire extinguishers, cans of paint , etc. and you don't completely clean up your mess, you get charged for Littering @1000 bucks.
I Urge all G&G members to BE RESPONSIBLE SHOOTERS, if you bring it in to shoot, clean up the mess and haul it out with you...Shooting areas have enough "Environmental " problems without littering...AND we sure don't want to give the Anti-Gunners another reason to shut us Down...
Shoot paper targets, boxes, build portable stands, Clean up after yourself !
Glass is NOT a good target unless you like picking up shards for a long time!
Portable metal swing targets are great too.
Again...BE RESPONSIBLE and leave an area CLEANER than when you came!

^ more realy good advice from the moose!, id like to add that if your goingto shoot at glass you should put a large tarp underneath it to catch all the shards.

I use to print out dozens of targets at school. Everything from your basic bullseye to a huge numpad off a keyboard. My favorite was a target with four black circles.

Another fun target I can think of... well, this was with a BB gun. My uncle owns a wholesale grocery that caters to area businesses, and had an old, expired plastic jar of mayonnaise... at least a gallon. That thing kept me content with my dad's air rifle for days.

Those are nice. If you can shoot them quick or in the winter icecubes are nice.

I agree with Moose...
After the second glass container we starting using our brains and realized that we wouldn't be able to pick up all the glass out of the yard, though we got the majority of the big pieces...

Smile You can also use charcoal brickets that you use

when you grill. These are biodegradable. And they tell you how good you can shoot at 100 yrds ..
