A long Heavy chest type freezer with som modifications makes a dandy Safe and if you line it with Fire Sheet rock,it is fireproof..and some good strap locks added for security works !!!

Yessir...It is Cheap and will hold 40 to 50 guns or more....

What a great way to recycle old refers and freezers. take that old side-by-side and use it for storing guns on one side and powder, primers, and ammo on the other, and for probably less than $50.

woohoo for me!!! i just got back home from buying my first gunsafe ever!! its a centurian & and holds 15 long guns! and is fire proof for up to 30 min. horay for me! im so freakin happpy about this. i needed it soo bad. and only cost $420 after tax!
now if i can only fined some dudes to help get the thing out of my truck......

I am a firefighter and i see a problem with your new safe, it is only rated for 30 minutes, most house fires burn at 2,000 degrees and last for 6 hours plus the coals stay hot for days... not to burst your bubble but ya don't have much protection. my advice is to take detailed pictures of all your guns and put them at a relatives house for insurance (the likelyhood of both houses burning down at the same time is highly unlikely)
