+1. I'm certainly no expert. I've learned a lot (mostly from reading these forums and quite a bit of self-research), but I only started collecting firearms 2 years ago. Technically, I'm a "noob", aka FNG, just like many of you.

I'm too new at being a Mosin Nagant owner to be an expert. But I can sure come up with new owner pitfalls!

But see thats why he is an expert. Heck he has so much old stuff stashed away. Did you know he has the first ROCK ever tossed at another caveman in one of those buildings of his.

THE BAYONET DOES NOT AFFECT A 91/30

dont bother taking the bayonet to the range, it does not affect a 91/30, before i tricked my 91/30 i could still put 5 inch groups at 300 yards open sights surrounding the 9 ring so in my professional Mosinitis opinion, with good sight adjustments and a fairly accurate rifle(or in my case dead on tack driver), you should be fine.

Was he there when the first Mosin rifle was made?

(Guess I won't be welcome at his ammo dump now!)
