Probably will, but I shot three deer with the iron sights. Didn't mount the scope until last week. Ranges out to 150 yards or so.

I have to get used to it. Right now I'm treating it as a somewhat fragile tool, gotta get over that. Without the scope, the M-N just smiles when it clunks against a fence post. "You cannot hurt ME, I am Rooshun!!!"

Really nice Kis! I almost wish I had kept the wood stock after looking at yours. The ATI is very comfortable, but just doesn't have the same appeal. I had planned on sticking with the iron sights, but ...!

Nice pics as well.

When put mine on and got it sighted in it tightened my groups up very nice. Next I will try "corking" the barrel and see if that helps like some says it does. but even now I can hit the black circle on a target at 400yrds at a 100yrds so far the best group has been just a little less than 2inchs.

A very nice looking rifle. Get rid of the bayo (store it) as it's just dead weight.

I can shoot the M39 iron sights, but not very good with the Russians. I like having a scope on my Camo M44, I haven't had the 91/30 and M38 out to the range yet.

Maybe next weekend.

Are those scope mounts that mount on the rear sight, pretty sturdy? No movement in them?

depends on which brand u get....the ones made by Scout Scopes(atm they only make AK/SKS mounts;but are working on a new M-N mount) are very durable and well made.
